1 in 49 women die in Uganda from complications during pregnancy or delivery. We have seen firsthand just how needed quality maternal care is. $200 is the averaged out cost for a vaginal delivery and a c-section so that we can get mothers in our village the best care available at a local, trusted, private hospital. $25 will go to getting the postpartum mom food when we transport her home, so that mom and baby can have a good, healthy postpartum period.
