We are going to Shine in Uganda, Africa! This group of ladies has committed to use their influence for the good of our neighbors at Shine Village Initiative. In about 6 weeks, we will travel to learn more about how Shine seeks to preserve families, prevent orphans, and proclaim the gospel within a village along the Nile River. We have one spot open for one more lady to join us!

During our time in Uganda, we will get to support and celebrate Shine's amazing, full time staff who implement their programs. We will help serve the 550+ children that come every Saturday for worship, Bible teaching, and food. We will get to see firsthand how the empowerment program is helping families. We will also help design a product for the artisans to make exclusively for the Shine shop! Time will also be taken to explore the beauty of Uganda, take a boat ride to the source of the Nile River, and shop from local artisans.

We've been invited into these precious families' stories so that even more people might know about the important work of family preservation and community development. While we are excited to take many along virtually on the trip, we have one spot open to actually join us!

If you'd like to come, share a picture on Instagram with the hashtag #shinewithusUganda and one lady will be notified on Friday, 3/22/19 that she will be joining us! Entry must be public, have the correct hashtag, be posted by noon CST 3/20/19 and winner must be willing to travel internationally 4/24/19-5/5/19. The lady must be at least 18 years of age and able to purchase her flight by 3/27/19 or may forfeit her spot on the trip. Costs covered: in-country ground transportation, lodging, & meals, plus $250 of your roundtrip flight. Person chosen must be willing to pay the remainder of flight and any extra spending money/activities.
