A space to gather as a community for worship, Bible studies, empowerment, and fellowship.
The original vision. God has also added the sanitation & housing phase, which is almost complete.
The vision
When Shine Village Initiative was in its very beginning phases, God gave the founders a vision of a beautiful place of refuge for the village of Naminya. A place to collect clean water, a shelter from the sun & rain, a place to fellowship, play, & be free. The well has been placed. Bathrooms have been constructed for sanitation. Housing has been built for the teen boys to have a place to call home when they are on break from boarding school. A staff room has been constructed for those boys' mentor & our education coordinator to be on-site full time.
It is time to build the community center and worship hut.

The foundation
The foundation of the community center hut has been paid for and is almost complete. This hut will be a central place for our ministry’s programs. It will provide shelter from the sun & rain every Saturday as 375 children from the village gather for worship, Bible time, and a meal. Women in our empowerment program will gather here to learn new trades, take business classes, be mentored, and have fellowship. The teen boys in our program will have a space to study when home from boarding school and to gather for mentorship and Bible time. We pray that God can use the space for His glory in even more ways within the community.

The need
Would you join us in providing this place of protection and refuge? The beautiful community center & worship hut will 54’ x 25’. It is wired for light & sound for the worship team, as well as the sewing machines for our empowerment program. The straw thatched roof will be high enough that the Nile River can be seen throughout the open air hut, as the river runs in front of the Shine Village Initiative compound.
